• Family Coach will help families navigate systems by connecting them with available services in their community.

Every family is connected with a dedicated Family Coach who provides personalized support in areas such as financial literacy, concrete resources, parenting education, and community referrals. The Family Coach will collaborate with families to develop a customized Family Success Plan designed to help them achieve their goals. This position delivers direct services to Summit County families using evidence-based practices to ensure high-quality, effective outcomes. Job Responsibilities Use universal screening tools to assess families for appropriate FSN services, ongoing case management, supportive consultative services, and other community resources. Tools may include the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Survey, the Protective Factors Survey (PFS-2), the Working Alliance Inventory (WAI-2), etc. Engage families through short-term, intensive, in-home visits that offer the six pillars of FSN's service model (family coaching, parent education, basic life skills, financial literacy, service referrals, and concrete supports). In the home, virtually, or a neutral setting, the Coach would:

• Administer universal screening tools for the family, assessing strengths and weaknesses.
• Guide each family in developing a Family Success Plan to identify and work towards the family's goals.
• Utilize evidence-based programming to enhance the family's protective factors and stability (referencing the six pillars).
• Incorporate Motivational Interviewing to elicit behavioral change within the family.
• Navigate resources and referral networks on behalf of the family Maintain up-to-date documentation regarding screening tools, services rendered to families, and resources/referrals provided.

Develop, maintain, and strengthen collaborative relationships within Summit County's family/child serving systems to offer the broadest and most effective network of resources to participating families. Attend community meetings and collaborative partner meetings as a program representative (e.g., Family & Children First Council). Submit programmatic/fiscal reports to the Program Manager and partners requesting data. Participate in Ohio Children's Trust Fund, cross-site and partner meetings as needed; represent FSN and OCTF at conferences, trainings, and meetings as needed. Required Qualifications 1. Experience Life experience with the child welfare system, such as serving families or children at risk of, or who have experienced child abuse or neglect Personal involvement with the child welfare system as a parent, child, kinship provider, or foster parent is highly valued. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills. Ability to function effectively as part of a team-based approach to service delivery. Proficient in Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and automobile insurance to operate a motor vehicle in the state of Ohio. Preferred Qualifications 1. BS or BA in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field 2. Experience collaborating with Summit County Children's Services (SCCS). 3. Professional experience removing barriers for families seeking support, collaborating across systems, administering universal screening tools, and managing data collection, documentation, software, and data compliance 4.

Training:

Triple P Positive Parenting, Motivational Interviewing, Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework, Financial Literacy, Transition to Independence Process Model, Trauma Informed Care and/or other evidence-based parenting programs (training will be provided).
