Family Coach Safe Families for Children - Champaign, IL Safe Families for Children is seeking a Family Coach to support parents and children experiencing crisis while working alongside host families, volunteers, churches, and community partners. Responsibilities Support parents in setting and achieving goals. Monitor children's safety and coordinate supportive services. Recruit, train, and support volunteer Family Coaches and Host Families. Build relationships with churches, community agencies, and referral partners. Assist with child selection, transportation, and placement. Participate in staff meetings, community events, fundraising, and program activities. Provide emergency/on-call support as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent experience. Experience working with at-risk children and families. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation and ability to transport children when needed. Willingness to work evenings/weekends as needed. Commitment to the mission of Safe Families for Children.

Preferred:

Experience working with faith communities, recruiting/training volunteers, public speaking, and community networking. Screening Requirements Applicants must complete a criminal background check, child abuse and neglect screening, fingerprinting, reference checks, and maintain a cleared motor vehicle record if transporting children or families.
