Social Work Full Job Description Licensed Social Worker Duties:
- Provide individual and care and support to clients
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with other professionals, such registered nurses and registered dieticians, to coordinate care
- Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the welfare system
- Assist clients in accessing community resources, such as Section 8 housing and childcare services
- Utilize Medicaid and other insurance programs to ensure clients receive necessary mental health services
- Provide mentoring and support to clients in the areas of workforce development and job placement
- Supervise and train social work interns and other staff members
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to promote positive behavior change
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as a Licensedl Social Worker
- Experience working in child welfare or related field preferred
- Knowledge of Section 8 housing programs and childcare resources
- Familiarity with Medicaid and other insurance programs for mental health services
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
