Full-Time (Hybrid Schedule May Be Considered) Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and student-centered School Social Worker to join our high school team for the Fall 2026 semester. The ideal candidate is committed to supporting students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success while partnering with educators, families, and community agencies to promote positive student outcomes. A hybrid work schedule may be considered for qualified candidates based on district needs and job responsibilities. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. Conduct assessments and participate in the development of intervention plans and educational programming. Collaborate with administrators, teachers, psychologists, counselors, families, and community service providers. Participate as a member of multidisciplinary teams, including IEP and Section 504 meetings, as appropriate. Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and referrals to community resources. Support attendance initiatives, behavior interventions, and student engagement efforts. Assist families in accessing school and community-based resources. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school climate.
Qualifications Required:
Valid Michigan School Social Worker Certificate issued by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution. Experience working with adolescents in educational or related settings. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. This role is a w2 contract through Soliant Education. Contract renewals ae available for those who are eligible and interested. Hourly rate negotiable based on experience - Estimated range $40 - $55/hour plus travel stipends for those who are qualified.
