In this role, you will be the vital bridge that reduces barriers to healthcare for local students, families, and school staff. Job Summary Tri-Area Community Health is seeking a full-time School-Based Virtual Care Coordinator (Administrative Assistant) to support school-based medical and behavioral health services in a hybrid role combining remote and on-site work. This position serves as the administrative hub for registration, scheduling, communication, and technology support related to virtual care. Responsibilities include managing intake and scheduling, maintaining accurate records in the EHR, assisting with telehealth sessions and troubleshooting, supporting providers with documentation and billing, and serving as a liaison among schools, families, and the clinical team. This person will also collect and organize utilization data, contribute to quality improvement efforts, and help facilitate outreach events. Candidates with experience in eClinicalWorks, telehealth platforms, or school/FQHC settings are strongly preferred. Qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or related certifications, along with strong organizational, communication, and technology skills. This 40-hour/week position requires both remote administrative work and on-site presence at schools within Tri-Area's service area (Grayson County, Carroll County, City of Galax, Floyd County and Patrick County), with travel between sites as needed. Hours are primarily 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pay is based on education and experience. Excellent benefit package.
