Job Summary The Social Work Supervisor provides administrative oversight to assigned social work and non-social work staff. This position ensures high-quality service delivery to foster children and resource families in alignment with all applicable federal, state, and agency regulations. The Supervisor plays a key role in advancing Agape Villages' mission to provide safe, stable, and nurturing homes for children in foster care. Education Master's degree from an accredited or state-approved graduate school in one of the following fields: Social Work or Social Welfare, Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, Child Psychology, Child Development, Counseling Psychology, or Social Psychology. Experience Minimum of 3 years full-time social work or casework experience in child or family welfare services; or At least 2 years of full-time experience in a licensed foster family or adoption agency. Additional Requirements Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record. Access to a reliable, safe, clean, and insured personal vehicle. Ability to pass DOJ/FBI background check and Child Abuse Index clearance. Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities Provide onboarding and ongoing training for social work and non-social work personnel. Review and oversee assigned caseloads for quality and compliance. Conduct supervision meetings with each direct report at minimum once per month, and provide guidance on complex cases as needed between scheduled sessions. Maintain written documentation of each monthly supervision session, including topics discussed, guidance provided, and follow-up items, and support staff in resolving caseload issues. Monitor the quality of services provided by assigned social workers to ensure families receive consistent, supportive, and effective care. Monitor staff performance to ensure adherence to state, federal, and agency standards. Review and approve client-related documentation, reports, and service delivery to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with agency and regulatory standards. Collaborate with the Child and Family Team to support the safety, permanency, and well-being of children. Participate in the agency's 24/7 on-call rotation to support urgent needs related to intake, placement, and crisis intervention. Delegate and assign cases and support goal setting. Conduct annual performance evaluations and support staff development through ongoing supervision. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with staff, families, and community partners. Carry an assigned caseload in addition to supervisory duties, providing direct social work services to youth and resource families in accordance with agency policy. Document monthly contacts with assigned resource families to offer additional support, address concerns, and ensure their needs are being met. Report to the Program Director weekly or as needed regarding program updates and staff concerns. Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director to support the overall functioning and mission of the agency. Willing to transport youth as needed for various appointments, activities, or other purposes, including supervised family visits when required. Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Travel throughout the Bay Area, Central Valley, and Sacramento Region is required. Ensure staff are updated on agency policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Skills Caseload management while carrying supervisory responsibility, including triage between the two Clinical case consultation on complex cases, including placement instability, trauma response, and behavioral escalation Working knowledge of Title 22 and CCR Division 6 FFA regulations Documentation review and quality assurance, including auditing case files for timeliness and completeness Crisis intervention and de-escalation, including after-hours decision making during on-call Performance management, including writing evaluations, setting goals, and addressing performance concerns Time management and prioritization across competing regulatory deadlines Conflict resolution with staff, resource parents, and county partners Written and verbal communication, including reports that will be read by county and licensing staff Data literacy sufficient to read caseload and compliance reports and act on them Microsoft Office and agency case management system proficiency Join us to lead compassionate care initiatives that transform lives!
