Job Summary The Visit Supervisor-Family Time Facilitator plays a vital role in supporting healthy family relationships by overseeing supervised visitation sessions between children and their families. This energetic and compassionate professional ensures that visits occur in a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment, fostering positive interactions and promoting the child's well-being. The role involves coordinating visit schedules, managing conflicts, and providing guidance to families to promote healthy communication and engagement. The ideal candidate is motivated, culturally competent, and experienced in social services, child welfare, or behavioral health, with a strong commitment to safeguarding children and supporting family reunification efforts. Responsibilities All training is provided to the selected candidates. If you have one years' experience working with children other than your own. Supervise family visits to ensure safety, adherence to visitation guidelines, and respectful interactions between children and parents or guardians Facilitate communication during visits using motivational interviewing techniques to promote positive engagement Manage conflicts or behavioral issues during visits through effective conflict management strategies and crisis intervention when necessary Maintain detailed documentation of visit activities, incidents, and client progress in accordance with mandated reporting laws and agency policies Collaborate with case managers, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate services that support family reunification and child welfare goals Provide cultural competency by respecting diverse backgrounds and adapting approaches to meet individual family needs Support families with guidance on childhood development, behavioral health strategies, and appropriate childcare practices Experience We are looking for individuals who have at least one year working or volunteering with children other than their own in a professional setting such as school, church, sporting events or supervising/nannying. Proven experience working with or volunteering with children, families, or individuals with disabilities within social services or child welfare settings Knowledge of child protective services protocols, family law, and mandated reporting laws Skilled in crisis management, behavioral health interventions, and conflict resolution techniques Familiarity with case management processes and client communication best practices Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively serve diverse populations Demonstrated cultural competency in working with multicultural families and communities Prior experience in social work or related fields involving childhood development, family dynamics, or childcare is preferred

Pay:

$26.00 - $37.19 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 - 60.0 per week
