Child Care Coordinator YMCA of Upper Palmetto - 3.9 Indian Land, SC Job Details Part-time $16 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Staff supervision Management Team supervision First Aid Certification AED Certification First aid and CPR Full Job Description Child Care Coordinator Part Time M-F 1pm-6pm Weekend availability as needed Under the supervision of the Child Care Director/Program Director/Branch Manager and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA, the Child Care Coordinator is responsible for providing program leadership to a group. The Child Care Coordinator will assist with various activities such as special events, and other activities that occur on various occasions. Supervise and ensure the safety of both participants and staff. Assist the Childcare Director in developing and operating all aspects of program schedule, to ensure safety, fun and program quality. Maintain all equipment used. Report all program changes and equipment needs to Child Care/Program Director. Report to the Child Care/Program Director any difficult or unusual situations. Execute Child Care emergency procedures in the event of an incident/accident. Manage appropriate behavior with all participants and implement the YMCA's discipline policy when necessary. Follow established Child Care program procedures and guidelines. Ensure the cleanliness of the site on a daily basis. Maintain attendance records and enrollment. Communicate with parents in a kind and professional manner including upcoming activities, behavioral issues, progress on homework, etc.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Outstanding supervisory and leadership skills. Exhibit a stable temperament and a high level of maturity. Have experience or training significant for a Child Care program. Set a good example in promptness, manners, language, appearance and health. Be a model of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring for participants and staff. Ability to adapt to changing needs and circumstances. Current certifications in First Aid, CPR and AED (or within 60 days of hire) Carrying, sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking, walking, running, crouching and lifting (25lbs.).
