Open Until Filled This is a Full-Time 40 Hours Weekly position with the Department of Social Services (DSS) at the SD Human Services Center. The Human Services Center was founded on a simple idea: provide adequate care for mentally ill patients and enhance their quality of life. Our staff at the Human Services Center are leaders in the mental health industry, and exceptional at enhancing the lives of our patients. We want you to join our team and get paid to do what you love - helping and enhancing lives of others! This position will work within the Adult Acute program serving adult patients. The main duties of this position include working within a treatment team, developing treatment plans, overseeing the delivery of evidence-based treatment, facilitating individual, group, and family therapy. The South Dakota Human Services Center is the state's only public psychiatric hospital, located in Yankton, SD. At the Human Services Center we: Provide appropriate, individualized treatment services which meet the unique and changing needs of patients. Enable individuals to achieve their highest potential level of functioning. Achieve enhanced program integration with other public and private agencies in order to provide successful transition of treatment services for individuals between in-patient and out-patient settings. This position works primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Licenses and Certifications:
Candidate will have a masters degree in social work and be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Certified Social Worker.

apply proper interviewing techniques; write meaningful, concise, and accurate reports and correspondence; communicate effectively with a wide variety of people; develop and implement effective therapy, treatment approaches and teaching curriculum; oversee treatment planning and treatment; facilitate individual, group and family therapy.
