A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.
School Nutrition Services Workers are needed to prepare/serve food items to students and school personnel, as well as maintaining food service facilities in safe/sanitary conditions. These are part-time opportunities with flexible hours, long-term with potential for full-time. •No experience required / training provided•Duties include: Under the direction of the manager, assists in the preparation of food according to a planned menu and tested, uniform recipes, and determines if the finished product is of high quality in flavor and appearance. Serving food and beverage items on a serving line. Operates a variety of kitchen equipments (mixers, food processor, slicer, oven, fryer commercial dishwasher, range, steam kettles and compartment steamers. Monitors meals, collects money, gives change and is accountable for POS transactions Inventories food, condiments and supplies Inspects food items and/or supplies for the purpose of verifying quantity, quality and specifications of orders and complying with current health standards Stocks storeroom freezers and coolers with supplies when delivered from vendors or SNS warehouse. Transfers supplies, food, and equipment between storage and work areas. Washes pots, pans, trays, dishes, silverware, serving utensils, etc. Cleans and maintains equipment storage, food preparation and serving areas to ensure meeting the requirements for sanitary conditions. Reports equipment malfunctions immediately to the cafeteria manager Assumes responsibility for knowing/following approved sanitation and safety regulations in order to maintain highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen, serving and storage areas. Observes all federal, state and local regulations relating to food service operation Maintains a high level or personal integrity and strong work ethic.
