Part-Time It's a Sensory World! (ISW) is looking for dependable, energetic, and compassionate team members to join our after-school Kid Care program at ISW Academy . ISW Academy serves neurodivergent students in a supportive, relationship-focused environment designed to meet each student where they are. Our after-school Kid Care staff help provide a safe, engaging, and structured environment for students at the end of the school day. What You'll Do Supervise and actively engage with students during after-school care Support students during play, sensory activities, games, movement, and other recreational activities Help students with transitions and routines Provide individualized support when needed Maintain a safe, positive, and organized environment Follow student support and safety plans Work collaboratively with other Kid Care and ISW staff Assist with light cleanup and resetting program spaces Communicate concerns or important information to the appropriate ISW staff member Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Dependable and able to consistently work Patient, flexible, positive, and comfortable working with children and young adults with varying support needs Able to actively engage with students rather than simply supervise Comfortable working in a sensory-rich, active environment Able to remain calm and supportive when students are dysregulated A strong team player who communicates well with coworkers Willing to learn and follow ISW's approaches to supporting neurodivergent students Preferred Experience Experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, autism, childcare, recreation, behavioral support, or a related field is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is dependable, compassionate, and eager to learn. This position may be especially well suited for college students studying education, special education, psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, social work, child development, or related fields. Physical Requirements Because our students learn and play through movement, staff should be comfortable being active throughout their shift. The position may include standing, walking, sitting on the floor, participating in activities, and assisting students as needed. Schedule Monday-Friday 2:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Consistent attendance is important because our students benefit from predictable, familiar staff. About It's a Sensory World!
