In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones and fostering a love of learning. Your enthusiasm and caring nature will help children thrive physically, emotionally, and socially while ensuring their well-being through attentive supervision and developmentally appropriate activities. Responsibilities Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times through vigilant child supervision and behavior management. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development, including preschool curriculum and early learning exercises. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, daily activities, and any concerns in a professional manner. Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines to support infants and toddlers' needs. Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of abuse or neglect and reporting concerns promptly according to legal requirements. Apply first aid and pediatric CPR when necessary to ensure the health and safety of all children in your care. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of child development instruction, childhood development principles, and behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), including pediatric first aid is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus. Strong classroom management skills combined with excellent communication abilities for parent interaction. Familiarity with early childhood education standards, toddler care practices, infant care routines, and classroom experience is desirable. Ability to adhere to safety protocols such as mandated reporting laws and health guidelines for childcare environments.
