Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Primary Purpose:
Prepare and serve appropriate quantities of food to meet menu requirements. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.
Education/Certification:
Texas Department of State Health Services-Food Handler Certification required or must obtain within 60 days of employment.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English. Ability to work at a fast pace for the duration of shift. Ability to lift 30 lbs; pantry, freezer, cooler and chemical items. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and any and all items in the kitchen used for production in preparing, cooking, serving, cleaning. Pleasant demeanor; ability to work with staff, parents, and children at all times during the shift. Ability to work in a team environment.
