DOEE&Q Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties may vary based on specific program and position, and may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Provide Specialized Skills Training (SST) and Service Coordination for an individual caseload of clients ages 0-3.
  • Support development across domains with an emphasis on strengthening cognitive skills, positive behaviors and social interactions while respecting the diversity of families.
  • Services are provided in the child and families natural environment, promoting parent or caregiver and child interactions within the context of everyday activities and routines in the home and community.
  • Demonstrate dedication to public service, commitment to excellence in service delivery, personal integrity and recognition of the individual worth and common needs of all people.
Competencies The competencies listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals, interdisciplinary teams, and systems. Proficient in accurately and objectively recording data and documentation. Ability to follow established service implementation processes to meet the needs of individuals served and adhere to funding source requirements. Proficient in the use of computers and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work with a Current Texas State Social Worker's license or bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education with a current Texas State Teacher Certification, a bachelor's degree in psychology, a bachelor's degree in speech/language pathology or another related field is required. Bilingual speaking (Spanish) is a plus. Knowledge of child development and experience working with young children and families is preferred.

Valid Driver's License required
