Make a difference in the life of a child! F/T Home Visiting Parent Educator will provide ongoing parent education services (CHIP, PAT, etc: training and certification provided) and support for low-income pregnant women and families with children 0-6. From the comfort of their own home, you will be an essential resource to the families in building the brightest future and strongest foundation for the family. Position reports to the CHIP Team Supervisor and collaborates with CHIP Home Visiting RNs to provide comprehensive service delivery to families on caseload.

Essential Functions:

Initiate and maintain regular and long-term contact with assigned families. Provide direct services to prenatal and postnatal women and families in the family's home to assist parents in strengthening the parent-child relationship. Responsible for developmental evaluation of all children in the home. Deliver one on one and group parent education using Parent's as Teachers curriculum. Provide family-centered, strength based interventions as required. Maintain case management documentation and required updated reports on families served per regulation guidelines. Provide transportation to necessary appointments. Assist in regular office workflow, including but not limited to planning and coordinating of special events, filing management, answering a multiline phone etc.

Education/Experience:

BA/BS in related field required. 1 year work experience in field preferred.

Additional Requirements:

Current driver's license and willingness to use own mode of transportation. Knowledge of and expertise in providing home-based services. In-depth knowledge of child development. Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity. Ability to communicate efficiently within a team. Ability to establish and maintain programmatic boundaries while being flexible and supportive of families. Parent's as Teachers (PAT) Certification a plus. Days and Hours:

Typically will work Monday to Friday 830-430 HOWEVER we do require attendance monthly to outreach events and Parent Cafe's, which could include evening and Sat hours. You will also schedule your visits with your families which could include an evening visit
