Job Description
at State of Vermont in Waterbury, Vermont, United States Job Description Overview The Child Development Division (CDD) is hiring a temporary Early Childhood and Afterschool Systems Specialists to join our Step Ahead Recognition System (STARS) team. This position will support the review and processing of STARS applications for early childhood and afterschool programs.
This work will include:
- Reviewing child care programs' Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Plans, and any supplemental documents that they submit;
- Communicating with child care providers about their program's recognized STARS level, and about how that level was determined;
- Providing additional support to child care providers as needed, including delivering concrete feedback based on the review of their applications;
- Providing assistance within the STARS team as needed in the creation of STARS documents, events, trainings, etc.;
- Connecting child care providers to additional resources to improve the quality of their programs, including quality improvement coaches, as appropriate.
