Position Summary The Social Worker provides discharge planning, family liaison, and community-transition services for residents detained under 90-day and 180-day involuntary civil commitment orders (RCW 71.05), working as a core member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. This is a full-time position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Initiate comprehensive discharge planning on the day of a resident's admission, collaborating with the resident, family, and outpatient providers. Coordinate the transition of medical and therapeutic care, scheduling outpatient follow-up appointments to occur within seven (7) days of discharge. Serve as the primary liaison for family members, legal guardians, courts, and designated state case managers, documenting all contacts in the electronic health record. Assist residents in navigating community housing, financial assistance, and vocational resources prior to their scheduled discharge. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, probable cause hearings, and commitment review hearings as clinically appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely case documentation consistent with

behavioral health agency standards. Minimum Qualifications — Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Social Work required; Master's degree and clinical licensure preferred. Prior experience in discharge planning, case management, or behavioral health services strongly preferred. Required Licenses and Certifications Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Social Worker Associate (LSWAIC) in Washington State. Clearance of a Washington State Patrol (WSP) background check per chapter 43.43 RCW. Preferred Qualifications Experience coordinating discharge and community transition services for individuals involved in the civil commitment system. Bilingual (Spanish or another language relevant to the served population) is a plus. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Primarily office- and unit-based work within a secure facility; requires the ability to move throughout the facility and, at times, travel locally for court hearings or community coordination; may involve exposure to unpredictable or aggressive behavior.

Pay:

$40.00 - $66.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 36.0 per week
