Job Description

Job Summary Join our team as a 4-H AmeriCorps Member and make a meaningful impact in youth development through engaging educational programs and community service. In this paid position, you will serve as a vital connector between youth and enriching activities that promote growth, leadership, and lifelong skills. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster positive environments where children and teens can thrive, learn, and develop essential life skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in youth programming, team leadership, and community engagement while supporting the mission of empowering young people. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and facilitate youth group activities that promote personal development, teamwork, and community involvement Supervise children and teens during program activities, ensuring safety and positive behavior management Implement educational lessons aligned with youth development principles, including outdoor education, STEM projects, or arts-based activities Maintain a safe environment by adhering to protocols and policies Collaborate with team members to develop engaging curricula tailored to diverse age groups and learning needs Support participants in setting goals and developing leadership skills through mentoring and coaching Assist with program logistics such as registration, attendance tracking, and preparing materials for activities Requirements Experience working with children or youth in educational or recreational settings Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle outdoor work responsibilities effectively Strong communication skills to engage with youth, parents, and community partners Demonstrated team leadership abilities with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and program delivery Previous experience in camp settings, sports coaching, babysitting, tutoring or early childhood education is advantageous Commitment to youth development principles aligned with 4-H values and community service goals Join us as a 4-H AmeriCorps Member to inspire young minds while gaining invaluable experience in youth programming. Pay:
$13,697.50 per year
