Position Summary The Family Support Administrator provides essential support to the daily operations of the Family Support Center. This role assists with family-facing activities, helps ensure smooth program delivery, and provides general administrative and resource support. The Administrator supports staff and families but does not lead coaching sessions, playgroups, or intake data entry. This position is entry-level and focuses on supporting program logistics, family needs, and center operations. Program & Activity Support Assist with the preparation and setup of playgroups, parenting workshops, outreach events, and other Family Support Center activities. Support staff during playgroups by helping with materials, transitions, cleanup, and family engagement (does not serve as lead facilitator). Help coordinate and promote outreach activities within the school and community. Provide administrative support for programs, including preparing supplies, organizing materials, and maintaining activity spaces. Family Support Greet families, provide a warm and welcoming environment, and assist with basic questions and needs. Help connect families with resources and provide information about center programs. Work with families on DHHR referrals as needed (gathering information, helping with forms, coordinating with staff). Assist with Mobility Mentoring® processes as needed, such as helping gather materials, supporting scheduling, preparing documents, and participating in non-coaching tasks that support the coaching process. Support follow-up tasks assigned by the Family Support Coordinator or Center leadership. Pantry & Resource Assistance Assist with basic pantry tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing donations, preparing items for distribution, and helping families access resources. Monitor inventory levels and notify appropriate staff when restocking is needed. Administrative & Center Operations Provide general office support: answering phones, greeting visitors, scheduling appointments, and maintaining organized files. Assist in maintaining clean, organized, and family-friendly spaces throughout the center. Support staff with copying, sorting, preparing materials, and other administrative tasks. Follow confidentiality, safety, and program guidelines.
Education:
Minimum requirement is a High School diploma or equivalent.
Language Ability:
Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English. Must have the ability to give and receive information clearly.
Reasoning Ability:
Must have the ability to apply common sense in carrying out instructions.
Computer Skills:
Must have basic knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and database software.
