Job Description
Compass - Center for Families is a local non-profit organization that believes when families are strong, children succeed and communities can thrive. We are seeking one (1) full-time Parent Liaison (40 hours/week) for the 26/27 school year over a 9.5 month school schedule to work in collaboration with Sheridan County School District #2 high-school and local families. Expected work schedule tracks with the school district schedule and requires attendance at some evening school events. The Parent Liaison position supports students, families and school staff and promotes the academic success and social and emotional health of students. This position is responsible for developing enhanced parent and school communications, increasing opportunities for parents to participate as partners with schools in the academic and social growth of their children and assisting parents in connecting to community resources. A successful candidate will have excellent public speaking and listening/communication skills, be pro-active and demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
