This clinical social worker position will support an intensive case management pilot component of OVP's (Office of Violence Prevention) CalVIP (California Violence Intervention Prevention Program) funded project, serving as the projects Case Management Coordinator. The pilot will focus on strengthening the case management services OVP supports as a part of its broader Street Outreach Community Violence Intervention Strategy (SOCVI), leveraging existing partnerships with CBOs in East and South Los Angeles, and in Antelope Valley to implement a high intensity case management model which includes a shared risk assessment tool, smaller caseloads (a maximum of 15 per case manager), stipends for participating clients, and protocols for integrating family engagement into care plans. The dedicated clinical social worker should have lived experience and at least 1 year of experience working with individuals and communities affected by interpersonal violence. The clinical social workers responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: facilitating trainings on best practices, conducting weekly case review and supervision with OVPs SOCVI Case Managers, tracking use of CalVIP resources that are meant to address clients basic needs and provide prosocial growth opportunities, developing a risk assessment for SOCVI case managers to use as a part of the high-intensity case management pilot, organizing listening and protocol building sessions, organizing and facilitating quarterly inter-agency case review and coordination roundtables, providing case management TA to pilot partners and other community-based service providers in OVPs Trauma Prevention Initiative network, supporting
OVP SOCVI
contractors to meet related deliverables associated with the pilot, when appropriate providing direct services to SOCVI clients, and finally assisting with the analysis of project-related data and with the writing of project-related reports including inter-agency and inter-department Community Violence Intervention coordination and service protocol. The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 12/31/26 with the possibility of extension.

$40.15/hr working 40 hours a week

Initial\ Requirements :
Master's Degree in Social work from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education including supervised clinical social work fieldwork experience OR - A Master's Degree in Social Work from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and one year of experience in medical, psychiatric, family, or child welfare social work involving problems of medical, mental, or emotional adjustment.
LICENSE :
A valid, current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or registration in good standing as an Associate Clinical Social Worker with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences within six (6) months of employment. Associate Clinical Social Workers must remain in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences for the duration of the waivers permitted by law, not to exceed six years.
