In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including crisis intervention, addiction counseling, and behavioral health support, to diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and culturally diverse communities. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex social and emotional challenges, promote recovery, and enhance overall well-being. This position offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through client-centered care, resource identification, and effective case management. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs, including crisis management and behavioral health evaluations. Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing and client communication strategies. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support during emergency situations to ensure client safety. Offer addiction counseling and support for clients dealing with substance use issues, integrating resources such as Section 8 housing or Medicaid when appropriate. Collaborate with community resources to identify social services, healthcare options like Medicare, and workforce development programs that meet client needs. Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and case management activities with excellent writing skills. Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns while ensuring compliance with licensing standards and organizational policies. Engage in outreach efforts to work with culturally diverse populations and seniors, ensuring inclusive care that respects individual backgrounds. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in the relevant state or region. Proven experience in social work, behavioral health, or related fields with a focus on crisis intervention, crisis management, and addiction counseling. Strong knowledge of social services systems including Medicaid, Medicare, Child Welfare, Section 8 housing programs, and working with individuals with disabilities or geriatric patients. Skilled in motivational interviewing techniques and client communication to foster trust and engagement. Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and seniors while demonstrating cultural competency. Experience supervising staff or mentoring interns is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for case management documentation. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a broader community base effectively. Certifications in CPR and First Aid are required; additional certifications related to social services or workforce development are a plus.
