This is an Hourly position.
Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Medical Social Worker is responsible for identifying socioeconomic and emotional factors that exist which are, or can be, an impediment to the effective treatment of the patient’s medical condition or rate of recovery. This individual demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of the patient population served.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master's Degree in
Social Work Licensure/Certifications:
Current state license to practice CPR certification prior to start (American Heart Association certification) Valid driver's license
Other:
Working knowledge of human behavior/development and theories of social work process Proficient with electronic documentation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker 1 year as Social Worker in home health care experience OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
