Job Description

Responsible for providing emotional support and resources for children with developmental delays/disabilities and their families
Principal Accountabilities:
1.Provides intakes/psychosocial assessments to determine patient needs, makes appropriate referrals, provides counseling and supportive services to patients/families, makes referrals to the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P) 2. Identifies and maintains funding sources which supports the Family Counseling & Guidance Program. 3. Maintains statistical information and analysis of data, develops outcome and measures for program evaluation, program development and facilitation of program. 4. Other duties as assigned
Required:
1. MSW from an accredited school of social work or Counseling. 2. NJ LCSW or LPC required. 3. Previous medical hospital social work and grant experience strongly preferred.
Preferred:
1. Maintains current knowledge of trends and advances in clinical practice and healthcare informatics, as well as new developments and innovations in hardware and software technology. 2. Demonstrated initiative, problem identification, resolution and analytical skills are essential, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
