Job Description
Port Jefferson Psychological & Vocational, P.C is looking for clinicians seeking to expand their practices, reach, and earning potential! In our beautifully renovated offices, our full-time staff will manage all aspects of your business, allowing you to focus on patient care to maximize the return on investment of your time. Our advocacy and dedication to success recently resulted in an increase in clinician reimbursement from a major insurance panel by an average of $20 per session! You are free to select your own availability, patient population preference, or specialty, and we will match you with patients from our waitlist. Whether you want to fill multiple days or even just a few hours on the weekend, we will accommodate your preferences and facilitate your business needs, freeing you to do what you do best! Our staff will manage all the day-to-day requirements that eat into your billable hours, from patient scheduling, phone and email communications, confirmations of insurance eligibility, providing and ensuring accuracy of legally required paperwork, record retention, contract negotiation, validating directories, record requests, tracking clinician notes, historical billing records, staying up to date with state/federal/insurance operating guidelines, submitting claims, dealing with denials, maintenance of office space, interfacing with property management, access to insurance panels, and more. Our practice has been a fixture in Davis Professional Park since its construction over 35 years ago, ensuring longevity and consistency of referrals, providing you steady access to patients while freeing you to optimize your time and reimbursement. You will have access to a wide range of clients with a focus on treatment for anxiety, depression, stress, and divorce issues. Port Jefferson Psychological & Vocational, P.C. is owned by a psychologist with 20 years of clinical experience and 13 years business acumen, giving you access to treatment consultations, ethical advice, and business guidance to brand and expand! Our longevity, reputation, and network will provide you access to outside specialist connections and build your opportunities whether you wish to subsidize and existing practice or join us full-time. Significantly expanded opportunity exists for clinicians specializing in childhood and/or adolescent development, as many patients on our waitlist are minors. Clinicians experienced in childhood development would see increased caseload potential and referral opportunities. We have availability for this position as an independent contractor every day of the week. Covid-19 vaccination required.
