- Contract Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a contract position to provide expert mental health and behavioral support across diverse settings.
In this role, you will deliver comprehensive clinical counseling, conduct diagnostic evaluations, and develop personalized treatment plans to promote mental well-being. Your expertise will help individuals of all ages, including children, adults, and seniors, navigate mental health challenges, behavioral issues, and developmental disabilities. Duties Conduct thorough intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and mental health screenings using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Deliver specialized psychotherapy services tailored to conditions such as PTSD, addiction, autism spectrum disorders, Alzheimer's care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety during urgent situations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, educators in special education settings, and community care providers to coordinate holistic patient care plans. Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology) for billing and reporting purposes using EMR systems. Engage in clinical research activities related to behavioral health or mental health topics to support continuous improvement of treatment methodologies. Collect data for research studies or quality assurance initiatives while adhering to confidentiality standards such as HIPAA. Experience Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with active certification in good standing. Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy techniques. Demonstrated expertise working with children and families in clinical or community settings; experience with special education or working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable. Hands-on experience providing home-based or community care services; familiarity with hospital environments is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation practices, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical records management. Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations for mental health conditions such as PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, or developmental disabilities. Skills in crisis management and crisis intervention strategies to support patients experiencing acute mental health crises. Ability to work effectively within HIPAA guidelines ensuring confidentiality of sensitive patient information.
