Key Responsibilities Deliver individual psychotherapy sessions to students addressing mental health issues in conjunction with their substance abuse treatment. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify specific mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans using clinically sound, solution-focused interventions. Implement various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the unique circumstances of each young person. Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in line with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure integrated care and support for each student. Educate and empower patients and their families by providing valuable resources related to mental health and substance abuse recovery. Stay updated with the latest research findings, integrating evidence-based practices into all aspects of care delivery. Manage an appropriate caseload effectively while striving to meet treatment goals and adhering to ethical standards. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with a diverse population of school-aged children and adolescents dealing with mental health issues related to substance abuse. Our clients come from various backgrounds and experiences, reflecting the rich tapestry of the Tampa community. You will play an instrumental role in providing therapeutic support that encourages resilience and healthy coping mechanisms in these vulnerable individuals. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited university. A valid LCSW license in the state of Florida is mandatory. Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, specifically in substance abuse therapy or related mental health fields. Familiarity with solution-focused therapeutic interventions and a passion for working with children and adolescents. Exceptional communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport and working collaboratively. A strong commitment to ethical practice and continual professional development. Preferred Experience While a minimum of one year of clinical experience is required, candidates with prior experience in school-based therapy or involvement with youth substance abuse recovery will be preferred. A demonstrated ability to engage with students from diverse backgrounds will be highly regarded, enabling a more effective therapeutic alliance. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this position ranges from
USD 80,000
to 100,000 per year, based on prior experience and qualifications.
