Job Summary We are an ABA and behavioral health clinic seeking a qualified Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or other appropriately credentialed behavioral health professional to join our team. We are looking for someone with experience working with Illinois Medicaid behavioral health services who can help our clinic establish and maintain the clinical and credentialing requirements necessary to provide and bill Medicaid-covered behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will have experience with Illinois Medicaid, IM+CANS, behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, community support services, and Medicaid documentation/billing requirements. Duties Assist the clinic with Illinois Medicaid credentialing and enrollment , including identifying and completing required provider/clinician credentialing steps. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field. Illinois LCSW preferred ; other appropriately licensed/credentialed behavioral health professionals may be considered. Experience with Illinois Medicaid behavioral health services strongly preferred. Experience with IM+CANS and/or Illinois behavioral health assessments preferred. Knowledge of Medicaid documentation, billing, authorizations, and credentialing . Understanding of QMHP requirements and Medicaid behavioral health services . Ability to work collaboratively with an ABA/behavioral health team. Strong clinical documentation and communication skills. Must be able to work within the scope of the individual's license, certification, and Medicaid enrollment/credentialing. Help establish appropriate Medicaid behavioral health services within the clinic. Complete or participate in behavioral health assessments and treatment planning within the scope of the clinician's license and Medicaid requirements. Perform applicable IATP/initial assessment services , including services involving a QMHP when the clinician meets the applicable Illinois requirements. Complete and/or assist with IM+CANS assessments and reassessments , when appropriately certified and credentialed. Provide or oversee Community Support and other Medicaid behavioral health services within the clinician's scope and applicable HFS/MCO requirements. Ensure clinical documentation supports Medicaid billing requirements. Review treatment plans, progress notes, assessments, and other required clinical documentation. Work collaboratively with BCBA, ABA, therapy, and other clinical staff. Assist with determining which Medicaid behavioral health services our clinic and clinical staff are eligible to provide and bill. Assist with maintaining compliance with Illinois Medicaid/HFS and Medicaid Managed Care Organization requirements , including documentation and credentialing requirements. Communicate with Medicaid MCOs and/or credentialing representatives when necessary. Help develop procedures to ensure services are properly documented, authorized, and billed. What We Are Looking For We are particularly interested in someone who can help us navigate the Illinois Medicaid behavioral health system , not just provide therapy. The ideal candidate will understand how clinical assessments, treatment plans, Community Support, QMHP services, Medicaid credentialing, documentation, authorizations, and billing work together in an Illinois behavioral health/ABA setting.
