Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs within a school setting, utilizing structured tools and evidence-based methodologies. Develop customized treatment plans tailored to each individual's circumstances, establishing clear goals and therapeutic interventions. Implement evidence-based interventions that promote mental well-being, including solution-focused therapy and cognitive-behavioral techniques. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other health professionals, forming a cohesive treatment team focused on holistic care. Educate clients and their families about mental health issues and provide necessary support throughout the therapeutic process. Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in the mental health field, contributing to ongoing professional development. Patient Population / Client Focus The primary focus of your work will be with children and adolescents facing various challenges in the school environment. You will play a pivotal role in fostering their resilience and supporting their emotional and psychological well-being. Your interventions will help empower students to navigate personal struggles, develop coping strategies, and improve their overall functioning at school. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required. A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in California. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with clients in similar settings. Proficiency in evidence-based psychotherapy interventions, particularly those tailored for younger populations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and team members. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities that aid in clinical assessments and intervention planning. A collaborative spirit and commitment to continuous improvement within a team-centered environment. Preferred Experience Experience in school-based mental health services is a plus. Knowledge of trauma-informed care models and practices. Familiarity with educational systems and the challenges faced by students today. Skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
