Work Environment This role will be conducted primarily through telehealth, utilizing modern technology to provide mental health services remotely. The remote work environment allows for flexible scheduling while maintaining a strong connection with clients and team members. Our team values collaboration and communication, often engaging in virtual meetings to discuss patient care and organizational goals. Expect to work Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Key Responsibilities Provide direct clinical services, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for clients experiencing major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders. Participate effectively as a team member to meet common goals, actively collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care. Utilize your expertise in crisis management and risk assessment to support clients undergoing acute mental health challenges. Implement personalized care plans that incorporate the unique needs of clients, facilitating access to necessary services and fostering ongoing communication among clients, their families, and other providers. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop integrated care plans that focus on client choice and empowerment. Carry a manageable caseload for individual, group, and family therapy, ensuring clients receive timely treatment focused on their presenting issues. Monitor client progress through regular meetings, ensuring adherence to admission and discharge criteria, and complete documentation in a timely manner. Engage in safety assessments and identify any potential hazards, advocating for a secure environment for clients and staff. Provide on-call coverage as assigned to ensure continuity of care outside regular hours. Contribute to agency committees focused on improving service delivery and enhancing overall quality initiatives. Patient Population / Client Focus This position focuses on serving diverse populations, particularly those in under-resourced areas in Huntington Beach and surrounding communities. Our clients may include individuals experiencing mental health disorders, those facing socio-economic challenges, and families seeking assistance with emotional and psychological aspects of health. Understanding and adapting to various cultural backgrounds and interpersonal styles is essential to effectively support our clients. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field is required. Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California is mandatory. Minimum of two years of professional clinical experience is preferred, demonstrating practical application of social work theories and methodologies. Strong knowledge of assessment techniques, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention strategies. Exemplary verbal and written communication skills to foster clear dialogue with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Effective organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively. Preferred Experience Bilingual candidates, particularly in English and Spanish, are encouraged to apply. Experience working within telehealth environments and proficiency in using relevant technologies for remote patient engagement are advantageous. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this role ranges from $70,000 to $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
