POSITION SUMMARY
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker is responsible for providing high quality patient care, displaying good skills in completion of psychosocial assessments, group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, treatment and discharge planning. The Therapist is expected to function as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participate in the units community relations program.
POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed Clinical Social Worker. If licensed in another state, it must be transferable to a Texas license. Master's Degree in social work from an accredited university Current BLS or Certification within 3 months of hire date CPI training within 30 days of hire date Must be able to be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues. Good written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to read, write and speak English Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians Prefer hospital experience
JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
One (1) year experience working with child; adolescent, adult and geriatric psychiatric patients Spanish language skills helpful Ability to work productively and effectively with minimal need for supervision. Ability to function well as a member of a multidisciplinary team Strong interpersonal skills Actively seeks opportunities for professional growth by attending educational seminars Basic computer knowledge High degree of competency/experience in general. Requires good communication and organizational skills. Requires reasoning ability and good independent judgment. Must have excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others. Considers mission, vision and values in developing services, standards and practices Documents findings accurately and in a timely manner and formulate the plan of care based on findings Ability to represent the program well in interactions both inside and outside the hospital Complete family session within 24 hours of patient admission unless adequate justification for delay is documented. Completes discharge plans for patients with existing support systems. Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position does have low exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents. C.
Occupational Exposure:
This position has minimal to no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and is an OSHA Category III (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids). Person who performs these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency medical care or first aid or to be potentially exposed in some other way. D.
