Wage Range:
$94,857 - $116,113 annually Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
Job Summary:
The Primary Care Therapist position specializes in assessment and treatment of individuals with mental, emotional, or substance abuse conditions. Responsibilities include individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, prevention, and education.
Primary Duties:
Collaborates with the Primary Care team to coordinate referrals for patients in need of behavioral health therapy. Assesses the patient's psychosocial service needs and creates plan in collaboration with patient and the interdisciplinary team Provides crisis intervention, mental health assessment and services as referred or self-referred Provides individual counseling/therapy to patients with mild to moderate mental health symptoms. Manages and maintains appropriate patient panel including referring patients to psychiatry and/or other relevant services (e., Perinatal Mood Disorders, Trauma specialists, Chemical Dependency Treatment etc.) Refers and advocates for clients to access community resources and services. Reinforces care plans and identifies and treats Behavioral Health conditions impeding implementation of medical treatment plans. Facilitates patient treatment groups focused on psychoeducation and behavioral interventions. Ensures proper documentation and needed billing procedures are completed as directly associated with provider's interventions and assessments.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED
for the position: Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Psychiatry, or other equivalent training. Active license as Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) PsyD or other equivalent Mental Health Licensure in the State of Washington. Demonstrated knowledgeable about behavioral health, chemical dependency and developmental stages. Excellent communication skills in order to effectively communicate ensure, and provide for patient needs, and to provide a legal record of this care. Accountability for professional practice, commitment to patient care, and commitment to uphold the Patient Bill of Rights.
DESIRED for the position:
2 - 3 years of experience providing clinical therapy 1 year experience in a healthcare agency/environment Specific certification and/or training in CBT, DBT, EMDR or other therapeutic interventions aimed at treating Mood Disorders, ADHD, PTSD, or ASD.
