Job Description

- Hours
- Monday-Friday, 0600-1800; 8- or 10-hour shifts; 40-hour work week; clinical hours typically 0700-1600; no federally recognized holidays; no planned closures identified; base down days apply.

- Position Qualifications / Requirements
Education:
- Master's degree in social work (MSW) from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the School of Social Work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work.
- Licensure
- : Current, full, active, and unrestrictive license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Association of Social Work Boards
Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Experience
- : Experience in clinical social work, either through a master's level practicum or 2 years post MSW experience, with the last 3 years, in a clinical/treatment setting

- Duties
- Provide comprehensive social work services to various beneficiary groups, scattered over a large geographical area, arriving from and discharged to, worldwide locations.
- Manage and coordinate continued care in dispersed locations, including remote regions of the United States and in foreign countries.
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial evaluations of outpatients, coordinating the development of multidisciplinary treatment plans, with specific emphasis on complex cases that cous on high-risk individuals, to include patients who have severe psychiatric illness, substance abuse issues, neurological diseases, brain injury; patients who are physically abused or neglected, financially exploited, live alone and cannot care for self, and/or who are mentally incompetent.
- Provide brief strategic and crisis counseling for patients and families who are in acute psychiatric distress, providing therapeutic intervention to lessen the impact of acute, chronic, and/or terminal illness or injury on the lives of patient and families.
- Provide individual, group psychotherapy, comprehensive clinical family therapy, and aftercare planning, as indicated by the Service population, to include children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
- Provide evidence-based treatment modalities that are specific and appropriate to each patient's age and circumstances.
- MHS Genesis, Dragon dictation software, and Microsoft Office programs.
- Comply with regulatory, MTF, and Joint Commission quality inspection/ peer review/ utilization management requirements, and applicable system applications.
- Contractor employees shall prepare all documentation to meet or exceed established MTF standards, to include, but not limited to: timeliness, accuracy, content, and signature.
- Contractor employees shall only use DoD approved abbreviations for documentation in the patient health records. (DoDI 6025.13 and DoDM 6055.05)
- Document and close notes in MHS Genesis within three (3) business days of patient encounters.
- Respond to beneficiary messages submitted and received in the MHS Genesis secure portal systems within one (1) business day
