Job Description:
A Non-Licensed Therapist on the ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) Team will offer counseling, case management, and other support services to clients struggling with emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. This position collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure clients receive comprehensive care that will enable them to develop coping mechanisms and strategies to manage their challenges. This is a full-time, salaried position that works Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. What you'll be doing: Work in frequent contact with other ACT Team members to provide comprehensive medical treatment to designated clients that have serious and persistent mental illnesses and/or dual diagnosis in the community. Conducting a 36-client run down and evaluating team member input. Conduct intake assessments. Provide individual and co-occurring group therapy for ACT Team clients and the court system as required. Perform Mental Health Consultations. Provide outreach services in the community, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Assist client in establishing and maintaining a social support system/network within the community. Perform crisis intervention/resolution as needed and/or required. Monitor treatment team schedule, documentation of treatment team meetings and follow up actions related to Treatment Team outcome goals. Complete the necessary paperwork in a timely manner in accordance with Center or State Standards. (i.e. progress notes, treatment plans, etc) Fill in for other members of the ACT Team as needed and/or required.
