Clinical Director / Chief Clinical Officer Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor to provide direct mental health and substance use therapy services to our clients. Key Responsibilities Clinical Assessment & Empathetic Diagnosis Conduct comprehensive intake evaluations, psychosocial assessments, and diagnostic interviews rooted in trauma-informed care and active listening. Utilize

criteria to identify mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders while recognizing the complex biological, emotional, and social dimensions of recovery. Apply high EQ and crisis de-escalation skills to evaluate risk factors (e.g., suicide risk, self-harm), co-creating trust-based safety plans and providing immediate emotional grounding. Therapeutic Interventions & Milieu Enhancement Deliver evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care) tailored to each client's unique values and goals. Partner with clients to construct personalized, stakeholder-centered treatment plans through shared decision-making, reviewing progress collaboratively. Facilitate psychoeducational, skill-building, and therapeutic milieu groups focusing on emotional regulation, relapse prevention, interpersonal effectiveness, and stress management. Actively contribute to a healthy therapeutic environment by modeling clear boundaries, peer encouragement, and psychological safety across all client interactions. Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Case Management Partner seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, medical staff, social workers, and case managers—to ensure integrated, whole-person care. Provide crisis intervention, warm hand-offs, and referrals to higher levels of care or community resources when necessary. Assist clients with transition and discharge planning that supports long-term recovery and community integration. Documentation & Ethical Compliance Complete precise, respectful, and timely progress notes, treatment plan updates, and discharge summaries in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system within required timelines. Qualifications & Skills Education:

Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, PTSD, peri and Postpartum depression, Psychology, or a related clinical field.

Licensure:

Active state license preferred (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or associate/pre-licensed status working toward independent licensure (e.g., LAC, LMSW, AMFT). CADC or specialized substance use certification is a strong plus.

Experience:

1-3+ years of clinical experience in a mental health, or behavioral health setting (internship/practicum experience fully considered). Experience or familiarity with milieu therapy principles is highly valued.
