In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health support to individuals across diverse age groups and backgrounds, utilizing evidence-based therapies and innovative treatment approaches. Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management techniques to ensure client safety during emergencies. Facilitate specialized counseling services including addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Maintain accurate medical documentation, behavioral health records, and notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations; utilize CPT coding for billing purposes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on case management, patient care coordination, and clinical research initiatives to optimize treatment outcomes. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions while adhering to confidentiality standards and medical terminology protocols. Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; licensure or certification preferred. Proven experience in mental health counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings; hospital experience is advantageous. Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology support, and social work practices. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance. Strong skills in crisis management, behavior management, patient assessment, and diagnostic evaluation. Experience working with children, adolescents, geriatrics, or individuals with disabilities—especially those with autism or chronic pain conditions—is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse populations; sensitivity to cultural differences is essential.
