Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited university in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Analysis or another related field. 4 years experience in a similar treatment setting. Ability to document in an electronic health record. (EHR)

1. Knowledge and understanding of children's needs. 2. Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with children. 3. Knowledge of Client's Treatment Program (techniques of childcare and treatment including providing consistency and behavior limits 4. Comes to work appropriately dressed and groomed. 5. Good communication skills, oral and written reports 6. Accepts responsibilities and adheres to company policy. 7. Shows self-initiative.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Mental Health Rehabilitative Specialists (MHRS) provides mental health services and crisis de-escalation to clients 7-21 years of age in a Short-term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) placement. The services provided include rehabilitation, crisis management, collateral group and case management services within the community, facility, and school settings . Provides quality clinical services to assigned clients. Uses appropriate formatting completes progress notes within specified timeframes. Provides a set of interventions designed to optimize functioning and reduce mental health symptoms of mental health conditions to groups, families, and individuals in a variety of settings. Maintains comprehensive clinical records which comply with state, local and accreditation standards. Communicates with family, authorized representatives and other members of the treatment team to coordinate effective treatment. Provides trauma informed, culturally sensitive training and coaches and modeling of techniques to all staff and personnel. Ensures compliance with all mental health contracts and applicable regulations. Maintains agency required certifications and trainings. Other duties as assigned (required to work on the floor at times, transport for appointments as a last resort Keeps up with client goals and provides individualized program services. Actively works to de-escalate clients. Provides group outings to teach social skills to be able to transition to lower level of care.
