Job Description

Radiant Kids Therapy is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMFT or LCSW) to join our team on a contract basis, providing counseling and mental health services to middle school students within a public school district in San Diego's East County.
Pay Rate:
$65-$70/hr (DOE), W-2 employee. At 30 hrs/week over a typical 36-week school year, this equals approximately $70,200-$75,600 per school year, with summers off!
Schedule:
Full-Time, 30 hrs/week (6 hrs/day), 10-month school-year schedule.
Location:
El Cajon, CA (serving school sites across East County — ideal for candidates based in El Cajon, Santee, Lakeside, or surrounding communities).
Position Type:
W-2 employee of Radiant Kids Therapy; we contract with school districts.

Job Summary:
Provide individual and group counseling and consultation for middle school students referred for services through their IEP team, serving as a member of the school district's Special Education support services. Counseling services under this program are designed to supplement the district's regular education counseling and guidance program.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and/or group counseling as outlined in students' IEPs Assist IEP teams in developing strategies to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs Assist in developing measurable social, emotional, and behavioral IEP goals Report on student progress toward IEP counseling goals Support students and staff with behavior management, welfare, and attendance concerns Act as a liaison with social and youth service agencies for referrals and follow-up Assist parents in accessing and utilizing community resources Maintain files and records pertaining to special education student counseling Participate in professional development to maintain current knowledge of counseling best practices Attend IEP and professional staffing meetings Adhere to IDEA regulations
Qualifications:
Active California license as an LMFT or LCSW Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) preferred, or willingness to obtain Minimum 1 year post-license experience in school-based or related counseling settings required Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred Valid California driver's license First Aid and CPR certification
