The organization develops individually tailored solutions to specific challenges faced by vulnerable community members. City Impact provides resources, counseling, and mentorship to support emotional well-being, family stability, and positive life outcomes. The team collaborates with local partners to expand access to services and promote long-term resilience. Staff members are dedicated to creating a supportive, inclusive environment for all individuals and families they serve. Role Description The Associate MFT or MSW will provide direct counseling services to children, youth, adults, and families in an on-site setting located in Oxnard, CA. This is a full-time role focused on assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-informed interventions to support mental health and family functioning. Daily responsibilities include conducting individual and family sessions, facilitating relationship counseling, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and participating in case consultations and multidisciplinary team meetings. The role also involves coordinating with community resources, providing psychoeducation, and supporting crisis intervention as needed. The Associate MFT or MSW will uphold ethical and professional standards while contributing to a collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practice environment. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Counseling and Mental Health to provide effective therapeutic support to diverse clients. Experience with Relationship Counseling and Family Therapy to address interpersonal and family system challenges. Solid foundation in Psychology to inform assessment, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making. Current or eligible registration as an Associate MFT or Associate MSW in the state of California. Ability to work on-site in Oxnard, CA, with strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills. Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and gender-neutral practice with at-risk populations. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and community partners. Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field.
