As a Counselor, you will provide guidance, counseling, and advocacy to help students navigate challenges and reach their full potential. Job Requirements:

Licensing/Certification according to state/facility/contractrequirement The Counselor may be required to have an California Pupil Personnel Services Credential (School Counseling), LMFT/AMFT license, LCSW/ACSW license. Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required Bilingual -

Spanish Task & Responsibilities:

Provides necessary counseling as required for the student and/or as outlined in the student's IEP Evaluates the students' psychosocial needs, and evaluates the progress Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate goals for each student Implements and manages school guidance programs Utilizes a variety of therapy techniques and treatment plans Works with students in individual, small group and/or classroom settings Facilitates student learning involving life skills,organization techniques and time management Assists students with creating an academic plan for their education Adheres to Ed Sped Solutions and District policies and procedures
