We are specifically seeking candidates who are registered in California as an AMFT, ACSW, or APCC and are interested in gaining meaningful clinical experience working with adults with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders. This position provides an opportunity to work directly with clients in a structured behavioral health treatment environment while collaborating with licensed clinicians, medical providers, case managers, and behavioral health staff. The ideal candidate is confident facilitating groups, understands clinical boundaries, communicates effectively with clients and staff, and wants to continue developing their skills as a behavioral health clinician. Responsibilities Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups for adults receiving behavioral health treatment. Develop and implement engaging, clinically appropriate group topics and interventions. Facilitate groups addressing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, coping skills, trauma, relationships, boundaries, communication, self-esteem, relapse prevention, mindfulness, and life skills. Utilize evidence-informed approaches including

CBT, DBT

skills, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and other appropriate therapeutic interventions. Encourage client participation while maintaining appropriate structure, boundaries, and group safety. Observe and identify changes in client mood, behavior, functioning, or risk and communicate concerns promptly to the clinical team. Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record. Collaborate with therapists, clinical leadership, psychiatry/medical providers, case management, and behavioral health staff. Participate in treatment-team meetings, case consultation, supervision, training, and clinical development. Maintain HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, professional boundaries, and ethical standards. Follow facility procedures related to crisis intervention, suicide/self-harm risk, mandated reporting, incident reporting, and client safety. Provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and client-centered care. Perform additional clinical duties consistent with the associate's education, training, supervision, scope of practice, and assigned role. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or another qualifying behavioral health discipline . Current California registration in good standing as one of the following: Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Ability to confidently facilitate groups and engage clients with varying clinical presentations. Ability to maintain appropriate therapeutic and professional boundaries. Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team. Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and professional client care. Preferred Qualifications Experience in residential mental health or substance use disorder treatment. Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Previous group-facilitation experience. Familiarity with CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and relapse-prevention approaches. Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation. Experience completing clinical documentation in an electronic health record. Familiarity with Kipu or similar behavioral health EHR systems.
