We are seeking outstanding mentors (otherwise known as techs). We are located in a beautiful neighborhood in Encino, CA. In addition to the duties listed below we are looking for someone who is passionate about recovery and can relate to an adolescent population. This position is vital to our implementation of excellent client care as the right mentor will be the liaison between the treatment team and the adolescent. You will be welcoming, empathetic, work a strong program of recovery yourself, and model appropriate boundaries and professionalism. You will have excellent communication/ documentation skills and work well as part of our growing team! Hours are 4pm-12am or 12am-8am Responsibilities and Duties Duties include but are not limited to: Participate in intake and orientation process. Conduct searches of property brought to facility and lock-up of contraband and medications. Assist clients in all aspects of day and evening activities including driving to appointments and meetings. Observe, monitor and document client activity using KIPU. Complete regular resident checks as needed or indicated. Daily summaries of the activity on your shift May facilitate meditation and big book studies. Regular checks of the facility and clients Monitor and record client vitals. Conducts UA drug screen collection when directed, following appropriate procedures. Attend mandatory staff meetings. Professional and compassionate interaction with clients and their family members Understand and maintain company policies regarding professional ethics. Have a general understanding and/or training in cultural diversity issues with clients. Qualifications and Skills Must have a valid driver's license and maintain current personal auto insurance Must pass a background check and Live Scan Working knowledge of 12-steps Proficient in Word KIPU proficiency is a plus First AID and CPR Certification within 30 days of employment. Must provide negative TB-test verified within the last 6 months. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Experience working with adolescents No felony or misdemeanor on your record preferable 1 year sober 2 year experience in residential is a plus
