Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health support and demonstrate a commitment to helping individuals navigate their personal challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of various therapeutic techniques and the ability to work with adults females who struggle with addiction. The Counselor will provide individual and group sessions, transport consumers to outside 12 step meetings, and ensure that the consumers safe. This is a part time weekend position which requires a dedicated person who is willing to make a commitment to work two 12hr shifts Saturday and Sunday. It is a great opportunity for someone who its trying to gain experience in the field. Duties Provide individual counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing Facilitate group sessions focused Drug and Alcohol Education and chart notes Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with confidentiality regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for clients. Monitor medication during client pill call Qualifications Valid counseling license or certification as required by state regulations CADC-CAS or RADT. Experience in crisis management and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling practices is preferred. Knowledge of gender issues counseling and the ability to address these topics sensitively. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Previous experience in group settings is advantageous. A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field.
