Job Description
Job Overview Federal Guardian is seeking Licensed Counselors and Social Workers to join our team in support of the DoD Military and Family Life - Child and Youth Counseling Program (MFLC CYB) in the vicinity of the Naval Submarine Base in New London, Connecticut. This is a salaried position that offers competitive pay and benefits. Posted salary range is based on an annual full-time work schedule, which is prorated for counselors working on school schedules with summers off. The primary objective of this role is to provide ongoing non-medical counseling services to the school-aged children of local Military Members and their Families. These services include non-medical counseling, training, and health and wellness presentations, and consultation with military families and installation command staff regarding behavioral issues affecting children and youth. CYB Counselors are assigned to local schools and, therefore, should have some experience working in a school in order to qualify for CYB positions. Additionally, CYB Counselors may also be assigned to youth programs, summer camps, and other specialty assignments. Experience and Educational Requirements A Master's degree in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA) CT or RI State Licensure at the independent practice level (LCSW, LISW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, LMHC) No Minimum Post-Licensure Clinical Experience Required, however 2-5 years+ of post-master's supervised clinical experience is strongly preferred School based Counselors must demonstrate past experience working in a school setting or other Child/Youth Services setting Must be a U.S. citizen We are actively interviewing candidates for this role and encourage all qualified (Licensed in CT or RI) Counselors and Social Workers with requisite experience and interests to apply.
