Full Job Description Community Mental Health Practitioner- MA Mental Health Services Program Non-Exempt Job Description Primary Function:
Under the direction of the Clinical Director of Mental Health Services, the Master's Level Practitioner will act as a Community Mental Health Practitioner (CMHP-MA) providing Individual and Family Therapy (IFT), Group Therapy (GT), and Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) to individuals enrolled in the Mental Health Programs offered through The Arc Tampa Bay Inc.
Days and Hours:
40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, at various Arc Tampa Bay Locations.
Essential Duties:
1) Provide Individual and Group therapy services of insight-oriented, cognitive behavioral or supportive therapy interventions to an individual recipient, their family and/or groups. 2) Assist in creating program curriculum and weekly lesson plans and activities which aim to address individual goals and objectives. 3) Instruct daily psychosocial rehabilitation classes following the daily curriculum. 4) Complete daily progress notes and summaries each day before leaving for the day. 5) Track daily attendance per quarter hour. 6) Under the direction of the Clinical Director/LMHC, the CMHP-MA will complete Biopsychosocial Evaluations and Functional Assessment Rating Scales (FARS) to recipients enrolling in the program. 7) Under the direction of the Clinical Director/LMHC, the CMHP-MA will develop treatment plans, reviews, and addendums 8) Assist, if needed, with maintaining clinical records for each recipient treated per the record requirements as stated in the Florida Medicaid Provider General Handbook and 59G-1.054 Recordkeeping and Documentation Requirements. 9) Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately, and daily, and that the overall implementation of mental health services are being delivered in accordance with state rule and meet APA ethical standards. 10) Complete monthly progress note summarizing the recipients progress toward treatment plan goals and outcomes, as well as identifying behavioral concerns. 11) Assist with coordinating services, as needed, with other departments and service providers. 12) Attend monthly Mental Health Services department meetings. 13) Attend treatment team meetings, as scheduled. 14) Provide supervision to Bachelor's Level practicum students. 15) Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Employee will be required to successfully complete and update Safety Care Training, First Aid Training, CPR Training (to include physical demonstration of the skill), Blood Borne Pathogens, Zero Tolerance Training, Core Competency Training, and any additional trainings relevant to area of responsibility as assigned. Community Mental Health Practitioner- MA Mental Health Services Program Must possess a master's degree from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field; and two years of professional experience in providing services to persons with behavioral illness; or who is under the supervision of a licensed practitioner of the healing arts. Certification needed to administer Functional Assessment Rating Scale (FARS).
