Full Job Description Position Summary:

The Group Facilitator is responsible for leading and facilitating group sessions designed to promote emotional growth, recovery, and personal development among clients. The facilitator creates a safe, supportive, and engaging environment that encourages open discussion, learning, and peer support. This position plays a key role in helping participants develop coping skills, insight, and strategies to improve their overall well-being at our 2 locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate group sessions on topics such as substance abuse recovery, mental health, life skills, relapse prevention, anger management, and communication skills. Develop and implement group curriculum and lesson plans tailored to client needs and program goals. Encourage participation and ensure all group members feel heard and respected. Monitor group dynamics and manage conflicts or disruptive behaviors professionally. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential group notes in KIPU EMR and attendance records. Collaborate with case managers, therapists, and program staff to ensure continuity of care. Assess client progress and provide feedback to the treatment team as needed. Uphold program policies, confidentiality standards, and ethical guidelines. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions. Facilitate groups at multiple locations.

Qualifications:

CAC, Registered Intern, Masters in

Social Work, CAP Education:

Master's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, or related field required.

Registered Internship, LMHC, LCSW Preferred Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years' experience facilitating groups in a behavioral health, recovery, or social service setting. Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong group facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a supportive, inclusive, and structured group environment. Knowledge of recovery principles, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing techniques. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
