Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help individuals navigate their mental health journeys through evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and client-centered approaches. Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to accurately identify client needs. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on mental health counseling, child & youth therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and behavior management. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards. Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies or co-occurring disorders. Maintain detailed clinical documentation including patient care records, progress notes, treatment planning documents, and medical records within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, patient assessment, and research initiatives aimed at improving mental health outcomes. Skills Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and addiction counseling. Strong skills in motivational interviewing and crisis intervention techniques to motivate clients toward positive change. Expertise in child & family counseling, pediatrics, autism spectrum disorder interventions, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or co-occurring disorders. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology related to mental health diagnoses. Experience working with telehealth platforms and delivering clinical services remotely while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards. Ability to perform comprehensive mental health assessments using evidence-based tools; experience with behavioral health data collection is a plus. Knowledge of clinical documentation standards for medical records and medical documentation practices aligned with healthcare regulations. Strong communication skills for client engagement, case management coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration within inpatient or outpatient settings. Understanding of behavioral therapy techniques such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), social work principles, grief counseling strategies, and art/dance therapy options is advantageous. Pay:
$75,172.50 - $90,530.32 per year
