Description:
Position Purpose:
- Join Mercy Care Atlanta as a Social Worker (Senior Behavioral Health Specialist), where you'll provide compassionate, comprehensive behavioral health services.
What You Will Do:
- Perform psychosocial assessments and create treatment plans.
- Provide counseling, therapy, and education to patients.
- Execute involuntary commitment orders and manage crisis situations.
- Offer face-to-face linkage and ongoing case management services.
- Collaborate with primary care teams to develop care management processes.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and community health events.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on behavioral health care and prevention.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to the behavioral health services team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in human services or a related field with LAPC, LMSW,LPC, LMFT, or LCSW licensure.
- At least five years of experience in mental health/substance abuse recovery services.
- Proficiency in psychosocial assessments and documentation.
- Valid Georgia Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred.
