Full Job Description Responsibilities:

The Intake/Assessment Specialist will coordinate and complete intakes/assessments, and determine appropriate placement for Dual Diagnosis Day Treatment and Addictions Program statewide using a combination of in-person and tele-health

Experience:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree with a minimum of twelve (12) semester credit hours in courses such as counseling, criminal justice, human services, psychology, social work, social welfare, sociology, or other behavioral science OR current Substance Abuse Counselor certification.

Preferred Experience:

Candidate with current CSAC, familiar with statewide WITS system. The equivalent of two (2) years full-time work experience providing direct behavioral health services to sever & persistently mentally ill (SPMI) consumers & demonstrated working knowledge of cultural norms, values and issues related to cultural diversity in Hawaii and demonstrated working knowledge of the health/human services system and community resources of Hawaii. 4)

Required Experience:

Counselor will be trained in the provision of treatment to individuals with co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders. Also counselor is required to have 1 year of specialized experience working with individuals with mental illness. This specialized experience should include progressively responsible professional work experience that involved helping individuals and their families find satisfactory ways of identifying their problems, coping with their conditions and functioning effectively within their environment, identification and evaluation of the client's problems and needs, the development of a service or treatment plan, the initiation and implementation of the treatment plan, monitoring of services and evaluation/assessment of the client's progress.

Hours of Work:

Hours of work include coverage of day shifts, Mon through Fri. •Pay depending on education/experience

Pay:

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
