Consults with nurses, doctors and psychiatrists. May work with specific populations, such as youth, senior citizens or substance abusers, in group settings, facilities or hospitals.

APPLICANTS MUST BE LOCATED IN THE STATE OF IOWA.
Heart and Solutions is hiring Behavioral Health (BHIS) providers in Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas! Behavioral Health Intervention Services is for children ages 4-18 years old and focuses on behaviors that appear at home and at school. BHIS is an in-home counseling program through Medicaid and is available to children that are currently on Title 19.
Requirements for this position include:
  • Valid driver's license and car insurance
  • Must see clients within a 20 mile radius of your office location
  • Computer/laptop and home internet access
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field with six months of Human Service experience, or a Bachelor's degree in another field with two years of Human Service experience
  • Ability to work evening/after school hours, making your own schedule, but sessions are typically after school hours.
Job responsibilities include:
  • Provide behavioral health skills to children, ages 4-18 and their families in their home
  • Document progress notes and contact with clients between sessions, on our secure website
  • Network in your office area to build a caseload of 20 hours per week
  • Work 30 hours a week, 20 hours with clients at $30/hour and 10 hours doing office work at $10/hour
